I am so happy to finally share the ‘real’ version of the photo featured in my last post and the storyboard that goes with it. These photos were taken as a gift for the girls’ Nanna and I couldn’t share until they had been given to her!

This storyboard would make a gorgeous Mother’s Day Gift, don’t you think?? Check back soon for details of how you can get one of these for yourself! I personally had this made into an Artmount and will be offering a Mother’s Day special so you can have the same! Well, of your own kids, of course!

Apologies for being a bad blogger! Our world has been tipped on it’s side with my hubster heading off on a loooong business trip and we are still wobbling a bit lol!! Unfortunately the only photography I have been doing has been on the editing/ordering/print side. After I finished up checking and packaging a couple of orders yesterday I thought I’d do something COMPLETELY different. I busted out the camera for some silly, non-portrait snap shots of my two younger girls! I know! Shocking! Any photographer will tell you that their own kids develop such a fear – or perhaps it is more a contempt of the camera – that even snapshots are hard to get. SO I got lots of funny, silly photos but there was one that as a mum I was so pleased with that I wanted to share it here. Portraits are lovely – clean faces, pretty clothes, lovely settings and backgrounds – and they can certainly capture the essence of a person. But then there is the other side where people are just doing their thing without getting all gussied up which rounds out a person’s photographic personality. So excuse the milo on the face, the lippy *around* the mouth rather than on the lips – this is how my girls roll 95% of the time! Brenda, I hope you like!!!!

This past weekend we headed up to the mountains with our whole family to celebrate ‘Christmas in July’ – just so we could experience a cold Christmas together! Of course Santa dropped in and we enjoyed a massive hot Christmas dinner. But the novelty of that was really nothing compared to the star of the show: The Gold Coast Hinterland. We stayed in hewn timber cabins at the very top/end of a high mountain ridge and could see for miles! And the sunset…. words cannot describe how awesome that was! That’s ok, I took a picture so I can just show you lol :) Of course I had to torture at least one of my kids with a super quick teeny tiny ‘proper’ picture. She was a good sport about it and let me take about 5 shots. She even looked at me for a couple hehe. Anyway, if you’ve never done it, go stay on top of a mountain, without your computer, phone, tv or ipod. Just look and listen and unwind. It’s incredible medicine!
